MFR Training; Advance Care Planning: Goals of Care Designations
‘Introduction to Goals of Care Designations’ training is available in the online MFR training area.
This free module introduces the Goals of Care Designations (GCD) and the “green sleeve” responders may encounter at the patient’s side. This is important information for the MFR role in honouring the patient’s wishes for their care. GCD will eventually replace “Do Not Resuscitate” orders throughout Alberta. The online training module includes a video presentation, images, samples and a self-assessment quiz with descriptive scenarios. All responders are encouraged to complete the Introduction to GCD training. This training is available to agencies that are enrolled with the MFR Program. You must log in to the Alberta MFR portal to access training modules. If you do not have log in credentials your department officers can create a profile for you. Please contact MFR@ahs.ca with any questions.
