MFR supports during wildfire season
Wildfire season is upon us, stretching resources thin across many parts of the province. Evacuations, planning, mutual aid and fighting fire are top priorities for jurisdictions facing these high-demand states of emergencies.
The MFR team is available to scale back or pause medical first response plans when fire agencies are stretched too thin. Agencies offering mutual aid to wildfire-struck regions may also require temporary response plans adjustments to manage their human resources. If you would like to request a response plan adjustment with EMS Dispatch to reduce or pause medical first response, please reach out to our team by emailing mfr@ahs.ca.
Please note that you can continue to access free replenishment of single-use medical supplies through the MFR portal here. If you need to have supplies shipped to an alternate address outside of your usual jurisdiction due to wildfire, evacuations or states of emergency, our ordering process will support this.
As always, thank you for what you do, and stay safe out there.
