2026 National Volunteer Week
The Alberta MFR Program would like to recognize that National Volunteer Week in Canada was held April 19-25.
To date, our MFR program has grown to include over 380 partners – including our dedicated frontline MFR Responders, multiple Dispatch Agencies, as well as Associate members. Based on data collected by the MFR Program, over 300 of these agencies use a staffing model that includes volunteer responders. That means when an emergency call comes in, 86% of MFR agencies rely on volunteers to answer the call.
The MFR team would like to take the time to recognize and appreciate the work all the dedicated volunteers do to serve patients across Alberta each and every day.
